There's a lot to like about the Galaxy S25 Edge. Samsung teased this device at Unpacked a couple of months ago. The company is expected to launch in the near future, making it one of the thinnest flagship phones the company has ever offered.
Samsung has had to make some compromises in order to achieve the impressively thin profile of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The battery has been one of them. While several figures have been floated online, the latest Galaxy S25 Edge battery leak suggests there won't be any last-minute surprises.
No battery capacity bump expected for the Galaxy S25 Edge
The Galaxy S25 Edge's battery had been spotted in the China Quality Certification database back in January this year. The listing revealed that it had a rated capacity of 3,786mAh which is typically advertised as a 3,900mAh battery.
A similar listing has now been spotted on Denmark's certification body, UL Solutions Demo. The model numbers EB-BS937ABY and EB-BS937ABE are listed for the device's battery, with the same 3,786mAh rated capacity.
These are the same part numbers that were mentioned in the Chinese listing. It's quite evident now that there won't be any last-minute surprises and this will be the capacity that we get with the Galaxy S25 Edge. It's shaping up to be a gamble for Samsung because if the battery life isn't sufficient enough, it's bound to get flak from customers for it.
Initial rumors had claimed that the Galaxy S25 Edge may have a 4,000-4,500mAh battery but that's not going to be the case. How that ultimately affects the user experience remains to be seen, particularly when you consider the fact that it's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the same flagship Qualcomm chipset that Samsung has used for the entire Galaxy S25 series.
